This is a very cool piece with an incredible voice. Very loud and bright without being piercing, excellent sustain. The bent spruce top is a great look and is really interesting. These mandolins have an inlaid pickguard that is notorious for causing the top to crack as it shrinks with age. This one has no such crack! Decent playability, a better picker will want to fine-tune the set-up. Not bad at all for a 100 year old box.
